9 inches of snow (and counting)!!!

Let it snow!

So we had a snow day with no snow yesterday, it was very interesting! I was very productive with my time and went out and did some shopping and just had a nice day off. Today, the snow is really here. I am guessing we probably have 2-3 inches outside right now. I am enjoying the fact that I am warm and cozy inside and that my roommates are here with me! :) Here are some photos I took a little bit ago:

My poor roommate's car completely covered.

Why I love my job...

1) My kids are the cutest.
2) The staff is amazing, I am very close friends with most of them.
3) Snow days.

A few of my precious kiddos dressed in their Christmas best for the Christmas musical.

3 of the 4 girls I have in my class. :)

My class is so precious. After having such a challenging class last year, it is nice to have an easier one this year. There are some challenges but nothing like last year. These kiddos are so well-behaved and make me feel so loved.

Last week, our staff Christmas party was held at a board member's house (mansion). It was a lot of fun: we were silly together, ate yummy food, played pool and just enjoyed one another's company. I never really play pool and have never been good but somehow I showed some talent last week as Todd and the guys were trash talking the girls and saying they would win. Let's just say I helped them see who was boss! :) I love my coworkers!

The adventures of Fred Bush...

Yes, we did name our Christmas tree. He just needed an identity and so we gave him a name. Oh what fun we had that evening! My stomach hurt from laughing so hard...the memories we created!

Melynda holding the tree tight against the car roof. It did a lot of good! :)

Katriina showing off her mighty power and becoming one with the tree.

Trying to conquer the tree and get it off the top of the car.

Lifting weights really does pay off....

Katriina and I trying to figure out the darn tree skirt (yes, both of us are lifting our legs...apparently this helps).

Such a happy family! :)

Showing our frustration with the tree and thousands of pine needles we had to vacuum up.

The finished product! :)

My sweet class

I thought you all (whoever really does read my blog) would enjoy some pictures of the sweet faces I teach every day. They bring so much joy and laughter most of the time, other times they drive me crazy :) But all in all, I do love them!

Enjoying the Thanksgiving feast. Aren't these faces precious?

Too cute for words!

Here are a few quotes for your entertainment:

"If we keep talking about guns we could get exploded." A student who was suspended last week for talking about bringing a gun to school shared this with the class after a few of them were talking about guns. I am pretty sure he meant "expelled".

"We are just really full as we try and hold it as long as we can so it takes longer to get us empty" A student in all seriousness telling me why he took so long in the bathroom.

"You can't be a teacher, you still play volleyball. You are still a teenager."

Oh the joys of being a teacher!

December

Yikes! Who knew that December could be such a crazy month? Okay...I guess I did. Sorry that there are no pictures for this post. I need to find my memory card reader so I can upload some pictures.

My December is full with Christmas parties, going home and trying to finish up my first quarter as a graduate student. At this time tomorrow I will be done, yahoo! I am so glad to be done with my statistics class, that was such a pain and I really thought it would eventually become the death of me. I am looking forward to taking more interesting classes next quarter.

Thanksgiving was fabulous! It was great to have everyone together up here. It was so fun to see Grampy up here in the northwest. It was sad to notice that we were missing someone but it was good to be together. While we were all together, we celebrated my dad's 60th birthday and Sydney's 2nd birthday. What fun times! Oh wait! Now I remember that I do indeed have pictures. Here are some of my favorites from our Thanksgiving celebration...

My sweet family...not sure what Micah is looking at! :)

Can he be any cuter?

Sydney in all her cuteness!
