I just love being an auntie...

Yesterday, as a distraction from some of life's dramas, I went up to Heather's and hung out with her and the boys. It was a great day full of fun and laughter. I love being an auntie and have been missing Sydney so much lately. I wish that Tif and Sydney could have met us yesterday for a play date. I hope to see them soon! Micah is at such a fun age where he is so creative and just wants to play, play, play. Levi is at a fun age as well, so snuggly and smiley. It really couldn't get any better than this. Just being around these two boys (and Steve and Heather! :) ) brings so much joy into my life! Here are some pictures I took yesterday.

Micah LOVES Levi and Levi LOVES Micah. It is the sweetest thing. Levi can just stare at Micah for so long, he just loves watching whatever his big brother does. Micah loves loving on Levi with constant hugs and kisses. My favorite line from yesterday was when Micah was saying good night to Levi he said, "I love you buddy". It can't get much sweeter than that!

Orcas Island

For midwinter break, I decided to stick around here instead of flying home to California. Early in the week I was able to have lunch with a dear friend, went to a beloved dentist appointment (yuck) and got to catch up on homework. On Wednesday, my teacher friend Angela and I headed to Orcas Island (one of the San Juan Islands) for three days. It was an adventure to say the least. We were able to stay at a timeshare place that her parents have, so we didn't have to pay for lodging, which was nice. Orcas Island definitely was an interesting place. There wasn't a lot to do on the island and the prices at restaurants there were a bit ridiculous. One of the highlights of the trip was having a private hot tub on our deck. It was purely amazing, especially as we sat there gazing at the millions of stars in the night sky. Very cool. We lucked out as far as the weather, it was clear and sunny every day we were there...simply beautiful! Here are some pictures from our fun trip:

Unit 118 was the place to be! :) It was a fun little cottage/room. We thought there was a kitchen but there was not which meant spending way too much money on eating out. All in all though, it was a fun place to stay!

The view of the beautiful sunset from our deck. It was absolutely gorgeous!

Angela and I on one of our ferry rides.

Approaching Orcas Island...we had fun on the ferry rides!

I love this picture! Mt. Baker was a sight to be seen on this clear, beautiful day. This picture only captures a glimpse of how truly beautiful it was!
